In 2012 we held our second Community Cohesion Project (a Welsh Assembly Government Initiative), and worked in collaboration with the National Waterfront Museum to create Our School and Community Museum.

We were awarded a prize at the National Heritage Awards Ceremony in Treorchy for our work to promote our children’s history knowledge and skills.

From September -December 2012 we were able to exhibit our work at the National Waterfront Museum which allowed many former and current pupils and residents to visit the exhibition.

Our school has showcased its learning to other schools in Swansea, as Waun Wen Primary is the first school to have its own school and community museum.
